Kat Driver

Kat
Driver
has been singing for over twenty
years. Her formal training was
from
Indiana University where
she received a
Bachelor of Arts in
Theater and Drama. She teaches
Broadway, contemporary, pop and
rock styles of vocal singing and
training.
She will accept
children from the age of 7 years
and up.
In addition to Kat's college
experience she has worked
professionally as
Assistant stage manager
for the Indianapolis Opera
Summer Theatre--"The Broken Jug"
and "The Monkey and Mrs.
Little". Also she is employed by
the
Opera Company of Philadelphia
in supernumerary roles
and rehearsal photographer for
their website.
Kat
endeavors to inspire students
to enjoy expressing themselves
musically in a relaxed, fun, and
creative environment. Each
student is treated as a unique
and talented individual and
students are encouraged to have
fun!
Kat's musical taste runs the
gamut. She enjoys enjoys jazz
singers Billie
Holiday,
Sarah Vaughan,
Ella Fitzgerald as well
as Broadway Musicals: Andrew
Lloyd Weber,
Stephen Sondheim,
Oscar Hammerstein II and
Richard Rogers, just to
name a few composers. Kat also
enjoys and is familiar with
these contemporary and classic
rock artists, some of her all
time favorites are
Jimi Hendrix,
Janis Joplin,
David Bowie, Incubus,
Muse,
Linkin Park, Metallica,
Travis,
Coldplay,
Radiohead,
Tori Amos,
Evanescence,
Flyleaf,
Paramore, My Chemical
Romance,
The Used,
and 30 Seconds to Mars.
This enables her to teach rock
and pop singing.
